A New Study Confirms: Structural Racism in STEM Programs Needs Fixing
Ebony McGee of Vanderbilt University, author of Black, Brown, Bruised: How Racialized STEM Education Stifles Innovation, said the study by Brown, Topaz and Hatfield “proved quantitatively what we’ve known qualitatively. The culture of STEM is a racial hierarchy where Whites and some Asians are at the top and Black and Indigenous are at the bottom.
